On June 30, 1989 Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing opened in theatres. That was exactly 25 years ago, and time has been good to the seminal summer in the city movie; from the soundtrack featuring Public Enemy and yes, even Rosie Perez’s running man dance during the opening credits feels as fresh as the day it was released. Last week, we helped capture the action with our Xioto photo booth at an event that crowned director Spike Lee and painter Kehinde Wiley as Kings of Culture. We couldn’t agree more! If you are not familliar with Mr. Wiley’s work, check out some of it here: http://kehindewiley.com/works/.
